"My endeavour is a quest for the Sublime—that profound emotion born of encountering a Nature that transcends us. Through light, composition, and image production, I strive to convey this rare emotion: a sense of fulfilment mixed with vertigo"

My Vision of "Nature in Wide" Photography

"These impressions of overwhelming forces, of mystery, plenitude in front of natural wonders, are deep sensations that I wish to convey with my artworks.

Authenticity, realism and impact are essential aims of my creative approach.

My photographs are often conceptualised well in advance until natural elements harmonise altogether, place, moment, light, to create the very "impression".

They come to life by means of high-resolution shooting techniques and very large-format art prints to offer an authentic hyper-realistic immersive experience, and recreate the visual and mental impact one feels before the wonders of our Mother Earth and Universe."

The journey to “Nature in Wide” Photography

Philip is a French nature photographer whose work lies at the intersection of scientific precision and artistic sensitivity.

A former researcher specializing in atmospheric electricity and extreme weather phenomena, he has spent years exploring the world’s most lightning struck regions — from Africa to Asia and the Americas — developing a unique connection to natural forces and the language of light.

His photographic approach is rooted in a hyper-realistic aesthetic, seeking to capture not only the visual impact of nature, but the deep emotional resonance it evokes. Each image is meticulously planned, sometimes years in advance, and emerges when light, place, and natural elements align to create the right impression — one that restores the visceral, almost universal awe we feel when faced with the power and beauty of the Earth and the Universe.

Through his lens, Philip invites us into a space of contemplation and presence, where the visible becomes a doorway to the invisible — and where photography becomes a way of reconnecting with the primal forces that shape our world.

What happens before, during and after the creation of an image ? Conceptualize... feel.... put into perspective...so that each image finds its meaning in the fresco of Nature, of Humanity, of the Universe. These are such moments that I reveal here :
