I had not come for this photograph, yet this landscape is the result of a long search for framing and symmetry in the dunes during the previous days. I had already imagined everything, the shapes, the shadows, the golden color of the dunes at sunset, and this is what I got, but in another photograph.Â
It is only after I folded all the gear that I noticed the change of light, with the transition from the "Golden hour" to the "Blue hour".
It's a completely different atmosphere, it's strange but this landscape sometimes gives me a feeling of end of the world, or at least of our world. The "Blue hour" are the last moments before the night. Everything is frozen in an icy atmosphere, the golden light has disappeared, there are only a few steps left in the sand.
Nature reveals its cold beauty.
