Navajo Moon

Night falls on Navajo land. I still have in mind the images of the deep and colorful meanders of Antelope Canyon as I watch the moon rise over these waters that hide a great secret, a sunken canyon as vast as the Grand Canyon. Time seems to stand still here.

But there is another secret in this image, one that I only discovered a few years later when I decided to work on it. This secret is in the sky, a meteor frozen in time. One chance in a million perhaps to seize this celestial phenomenon, which gives another meaning to the image, Nature never stops, the earth feeds on the sky, man turns his questioning gaze towards the universe. Thanks to you Great Spirit who gives us this sign.
