“That overflow of emotion in the face of vastness and the unknown, carrying the imagination into vertigo”

There are moments in nature when perception shifts. The landscape no longer appears as something to observe, but as something to experience — directly, physically, almost beyond thought. In these moments, familiar forms dissolve into something deeper. Space expands, scale becomes uncertain, and the visible world opens onto a sense of the infinite. What is seen is no longer entirely graspable. This is where the experience of the sublime emerges — in the tension between beauty and immensity, attraction and disorientation. It is not a spectacle, but a threshold: a point where perception reaches its limits and something greater begins to unfold. My work seeks to approach these moments. Not to capture or explain them, but to create the conditions in which they may be felt again — as an experience of presence, scale, and immersion.
